@neon_course @sjw it's a good example as to why "free speech" branding is doomed from the start and more people need to catch up to that fact.
By all means, that can be a guiding principle, but when you explicitly market based on that, you end up with an aimless void of everyone who didn't fit in anywhere else. Some of those people are banned from everything for a good reason, and then you have to justify kicking them off under increased scrutiny.
Communities need purpose and focus. Just make it clear that your moderation is lax unlike mainstream sites where mild deviation will get 10 year accounts banned.
