Have the same reaction to someone mentionning they watch TV (including any online TV presence) as if they had just said that they enjoyed scat porn. "EWW, you *WATCH TV*? What are you, senile?!" Make fun of them, ridicule them, make TV watching a mark of shame and spread it to your friends. Make "average tv watcher" memes, and big bonus points if you can also include all forms of mainstream media and netflix. You could waste years trying to convince someone of something using reason, but you'd be surprised of how quickly attitudes can be changed with the powerful emotional weapons of shaming and ridicule.
