The problem with modern game UI in games:
Its bland. Unimaginative. Minimalistic. Boring. Instead of being a cute or cool way to display information to the player, now its treated like a irritating little problem they have to hide by shrinking and simplifying. Try comparing the following game UI and see what i mean
