Been talking to the wife... She wants me to retire after the transplant thing. Enjoy life a bit since it's probably not going to be super long after.

I'm torn on the matter. On one hand in like another year we'll have enough money to do that, provided my wife starts working my hours and we cut back a bit on expenses, and leave our kids with at the very least apartment each.

On the other, without my wife around I'm not very good with the kids, I get all autistic like. I wouldn't know how to play games. It's not like suddenly they're going to be interested in Rimworld and EU4'n'shiet.

Given this info (and considering I'm presently 54), poll.

Isn't "The Greater Good" a word commonly used by dictatorships to subject or reduce any opposition?

Just found out from the large transportation company that I work for that I have the "opportunity" to upload my vax status to the workplace database. This way, when I contract Covid I will get sick pay. If I don't get vaxxed and contract the same illness, I WON'T get paid. On our weekly safety call, there was some pushback. Sup's basically said "don't shoot the messenger". Just like the good little mindless worker drones that they are.

So yeah. While the USA is paring down its retarded covid restrictions, Canada is expanding and expanding our tyranny to truly despotic levels. So far just in Quebec, but everywhere but SK and AB haven't rejected it.
