Had an argument with parents the other day at the dinner table about climate change fear porn. They didn't seem to understand that fear porn about climate change was both a method of control and was a factor in creating a generation of lazy neet stoners who think the world will end tomorrow so why should I try?

Happy 4th of July!

Little reminder that even though there is little to be proud of in this country today, you can still celebrate what it was founded on, the true america. Something worth celebrating.

Take it easy today (if you can), eat some good food, and blow some stuff up (with fireworks)!

>make a minor fork of TempleOS
>censor the words of Terry
>cry about people making genuine software for TempleOS because of OHNONONONOONO THE NIGGER WORD!!!!
Modifying the word of Terry is more than just "cleaning up comments". Every line of the canonical TempleOS release is Terry. He speaks to you through his documentation, his code, and his comments. The +NIGGER license was created to protect the word of Terry. Terry would have been banned from this subleddit. After his death people want to create revisionist history. They want to separate Terry from his schizophrenia, from his language, but they cannot be separated. Without Terry's schizophrenia or whatever else TempleOS would simply not exist.

Nevermind Terry's intent with TempleOS was a platform for people to make games close to the hardware, like a modern C64. The phrase "make games, don't play them" is littered throughout. Meanwhile most people just want to fuck around with random OS stuff. Alec Murphy is the only real TempleOS dev worth mentioning. Not even ZealOS is all that interesting. Alec Murphy was able to integrated AC97 and SVGA graphics on top of TempleOS without touching the system code.

Everybody I worked with was like "Microsoft has changed, they're different now. You're acting crazy."

lol. lmao.

When will you learn that Microsoft doesn't "change." It just lies in wait until the time is right.

Fucking hell about the only place you can get lye these days is a hardware store because apparently it's used to make meth.
@lnxw37b2

never understand why single user instances will be like "shutting down for maintenance sorry for the inconvenience", its like saying "shutting down my 'puter i apologize for the disruption"

Cody Wilson popularized and helped lay the groundwork for 3d printed guns
Without him we would not be nearly as far
So feds got a 16 year old a real driver's license and a real passport that said she was 18 and then had her go after him
They arrested him for buying a hotel room for them to share after weeks of dating
It's still illegal under Texas law if she has fake IDs
Also it's the government so they aren't actually fake IDs - they're real IDs indistinguishable from anyone else's but the government lied about the age

I reeealy fucking hate the “the brighter it is the newer it looks” shit. This is about everything, from tv to games to anime. Turn the fuckin brightness down already
