Just printed and stitched my next book, "word of the Buddha" (work edited by 3 monks). ~60 pages, only like 20 mins of stitching tho.

Picked up some fancy pants fabric and the special cardboard out at craft stores. Gotta starch the fabric before I make a sandwich between fabric, cardboard, and book.

I feel it's understated how hobbyist gamedevs *must* be targeting WASM. The current off the shelf game engines like Godot, Unity and Unreal all focus on more modern graphics APIs. They offer GLES option, but they call it "legacy". WebGL2 is not legacy. It is a current and supported standard in all browsers. WebGPU does not formally replace WebGL2 and WebGPU is still poorly supported.

The primary graphics API target for a hobbyist gamedev should be WebGL2/OpenGL ES3. What's the point of Vulkan when no one is going to bother to download your sketchy binary?

There's a gap in the market for a WASM-first game engine.

Yes- his disgust for a law is being called an act of encouragement rather than a set of words actually encouraging infringement.

BUT even if he encouraged it that should (whether or not it is or will be, and it probably won't be) be protected.

It's the right if not duty of every person to advocate against unjust laws and to disobey. You don't get to write off wrongs just because there is a law.

Prediction Reminder: Game engines will become deeply integrated with AI to the point where the game engine becomes the sandbox to create your own interactive experiences. We will essentially get the The Matrix where you say "I need guns, lots of guns" and then the guns fly at you.
