gonna' go see violent night, haven't watched a movie period since sonic 2.
@beardalaxy
Don't look up was.... funny.
Political, and sometimes oversimplified, but definitely complex enough to entertain.
@LukeAlmighty don't even know what that is tbh, i'm pretty far removed from the movie world. i didn't even know violent night was a thing until one of my roommates asked if i wanted to go.
@beardalaxy @LukeAlmighty
>i'm pretty far removed from the movie world.
Same here. I was disgusted to hear that there is a recent trend in kids movies where the producers like to include scat references. The most recent SpongeBob movie had Patrick eating from Gary's litter-box and apparently this isn't the only movie to do this lately.
@xianc78 @LukeAlmighty that's curious
@PhenomX6 @LukeAlmighty @beardalaxy
>highly infamous deleted scene in cars where lightning McQueen blew through a railroad crossing
I have two copies of that film and neither one of those has that scene cut out. Was it cut out from later copies?
@berkberkman @beardalaxy @xianc78
In that case, I can fully recommend "teorie tygra"
@beardalaxy Sounds like Black Christmas or Rare Exports but woke
violent night was alright. stupid race mixing bullshit that is apparently in every movie now. cool to see santa killing people on the naughty list but the movie was too heavy on the story which wasn't interesting in the slightest.
kind of reminded me of sonic 2 in the sense that the only good moments are when sonic or eggman are on screen, the only really good moments here are when santa is doing shit.
6/10 wish they would have just leaned into the brutality and made santa a fucking baller for the entire movie like john wick christmas edition instead of wasting time on a plot nobody cares about.
