For some time, I supported Assad because I fell for the propaganda that he was "the protector of all minorities" and that "he was against terror".
My friends, who are part of the pro-Western liberal wing, also begrudgingly supported him because "there's no one better to keep the country stable".
Now, with everything that is happening and has happened, he, and his most die-hard supporters, have been exposed as insane criminals, worse than ISIS (that's saying something), bloodthirsty, depraved and psychotic. Incapable of recognizing fault and apologizing.
This is a well-known pro-Hezbollah (therefore pro-Assad) account:

PartisanGirl literally made a post explaining away why a toddler was in a secret-police prison for women. She completely ignored that many of those in that jail have been there for around 10 years, meaning, the mother of that child was most likely raped by the guards, and gave birth in the jail. What a fucking lunatic.

According to some reports, Daraa has been taken by the rebels, again without almost any fighting.
The SAA agreed to leave, most likely heading north to Damascus for a last stand.
The SAA is crumbling, and Assad has still said nothing.
The only statements coming out are from Syrian government officials about how they're "winning" and "the counteroffensive" will happen.
Assad is clearly terrified. Who wouldn't be, in this situation? I'd actually wager he's going to be killed within the Kremlin. Putin views him as dead weight.
His wife is heading to Russia along with his children. Other relatives made the safe decision to remain in the UAE.

Kurds have taken full control of the Iraqi border.
SAA units are retreating to Damascus to buttress the defence there.
Russian airforce jets tried cutting the M5 highway to Homs, but they failed, twice.
Rebels are on the outskirts of the city, in the process of encircling it.
They have sent drone operators to tie-down SAA in Latakia, preventing them linking up with SAA forces by Homs/Damascus.
And, finally, there is apparently an uprising south of Damascus, in the area of Daraa.
This is the end. No question now. This is the end of Assad's regime.

The SAA is fleeing in all directions. They are only holding against the Kurds because the Kurds are not as good fighters as HTS.

Universities are a money scam.
Sam Hyde is right when he says the only important thing that university teaches you is networking, and even then, it's just out of happenstance (i.e. who you make friends with on chance), and not really forcing you to learn networking as a "skill".
I once met a homeless guy who told me he studied law. Clearly he didn't "network" hard enough...

Remember this when pro-Syrian government spokespeople (who live abroad and are paid by Iran) claim all the rebels love Israel.
It's kinda strange how Kings and Generals, which has for years now taken an extremely anti-Russian stance, is going to do this.
