@Mr_NutterButter The US has always been an opportunistic predator, it is a country that was founded by religious extremists who had a LOT of money, it would be like if Scientology started a country. They would only talk about good, and liberty, but really they'd be torturing subjects in back rooms for not agreeing about something. The idea of liberty as we know it comes from the romans and greeks, they are the first ones (in the west) to give citizens a fair amount of respect and freedom, and before them were the Mongols in the east who respected local customs and religions as long as tribute was payed, and before them the Persians were pretty liberty minded, persian citizens are said to have had a lot of freedoms.
