@bestest @gloomyflower I had a history teacher who would act out scenes and bring in historical objects for us to touch and he'd ask often how we relate with whatever we were talking about so we'd be prompted to do thought experiments and put ourselves in the shoes of a late 1700s american revolutionary soldier, or in the shoes of poor families who were forced to house troops, he didn't get too explicit but now that I'm grown I understand they wouldn't just have eaten all the food in the house they of course would have raped the girls. But the point is before his passion I hated history, I saw it as unverifiable bullshit, I was a science kid, theories could be tested and verified personally. History is largely faith based.

I'm going to cry because I feel like the pedi community has left me behind. There used to be an active pedi community where I could see lots of pedi posts and I could comment on them and I could make pedi posts and get lots of comments on those too but that just doesn't happen anymore and I wonder if it's just me or if that's the way it is for all of pedi.
