Lately it's very hard for me to be interested in any kind of new show/anime/series/whatever, everything seems so rooted into the hype and outrage that it causes rather on it's content.

@hideki Yup, studios do not have people running them the way they used to, and the people they hire are different too, the old works came from adversity and working within constraints, viewing their work was (and still is) a spiritual experience, a communication of kinship between creator and observer. New anime feels like a tv commercial, all flash no substance. I also can't stand the smoothness of movement from improperly animated cg, it hurts when I see it, I can't look at it. Improperly animated cg like what they did in the recent Berserk, it doesn't fit within the work, it is a blemish, and I can't look at it. Kids seem not to notice, which drives me even more crazy.
