Ever heard of prenuptial agreements?
They are by definition normal agreement between two parties, that allow them to set boundaries of relationships that will help in case of a divorce.

But.... In most cases, they can be throws away on bases, that woman either didn't get it, or because she was signing under pressure. (even though, I couldn't think of a bigger bullshit if I tried).

And this rule of "power imbalance" can be used to throw away user agreements too, if the judge likes your smile more.

You can literally write an illegal contract.
For instance, If I signed the contract saying I am a slave, it would not be legal, no matter how many people stamped it.

But... I don't have to know that :D And until a judge says so, do you want to risk breaking the contract?

She wasn't ruthless or "playing the victim" though. She just said a dumb comment, and completely fell apart the moment, she realized, that she had ruined such an important moment as well as shat at hours of his work.

And even in corporate environment where companies aren't trying to screw each other, the rules are still written by people, who had only a single use case in mind, and we cannot know what were they trying to avoid.
