I said "publically in front of 30 customers".

It obviously isn't the best way to hurt them, but if you do it correctly, customers know, managers are shocked and you might even inspire coworkers to quit.

Obviously trying to actively shut them down is better, but there comes a point, where your life matters too, so don't drag yourseft through too much shit before you're back on your feet again.

@matana @picandor
No and no.
I get what you're getting at. It is obviously 100 times harder to walk out on a job when you have obligations, but not only did this guy had none, I think it is MORE important to fight for a fair job when you have them, since the long term stakes are that higher.

@picandor
This is why you're expendable.
I worked at a dumb corpo shop. My paycheck was late, so I immediately told to boss, that I quit if the paycheck wont arrive in 1 week.

I never again got a single paycheck late.

1 year later I Spoke to a co worker and he said that the company missed his paycheck too. And he was still working there. He had every option to publically declare in front of 30 customers that he quits since he's not getting payed, but he kept working instead.

I do not believe in unions, but some people just love to suffer.

@Terfest__Shadow
My point is, that I consider laws against child labour as intrinsically immoral.

If these kids could work at Mc Donalds, many of them would.

@ThatWouldBeTelling
I don't smoke, I don't dring and I am realy young. Doctor said he has no idea why covid hit me so hard, since I am healthy young woman with no co morbidity...

@smugumin

A prolonged war helps noone.
But this single line... The simplest rule is too difficult for modern politician to understand.
