@picandor I do not think it is arrogance, I just truly believe that people do not understand what the real options of AI are.

In the same way that people use smartphones for facebook, but would never understand if I told them, they have a PC capable of emulating old consoles.

Or even more critically, it's as if they had a tank and were wandering, why is it not doing well on a racing track. It truly amazes me, just how incompatible the AI is with our usual understanding of the world.

But that also leads to shit as our university class thinking that a fixed conversation tree is an IT university worthy AI capable of getting us a job in the field.

Nah... until an AI can go with you to the pub, drink a beer and talk about newest marvel movie, it is obviously inferrior to humans on every level.

Turing test is an artefact of a lost era constructed around a false perception of AI limitations. Give it up already.

What is wrong with people?

Why is it so important for humans to point at particular social interactions or particular tasks to prove, that we are better then AI?

We're not smarter then AI, and the ammount of tasks we're better at is shrinking every single day.

That does not matter.
Your phone could beat you in chess 100 percent of cases. Computers have won in chess since deep blue.

Computers are better at math since the very begining. They will soon even be better drivers.

But the most important part is, that once they do break the "better then human" barier in any skill, they will be better in that skill forever.

Most of what you wrote is weird, but the big lie that your brain doesn't develop till you're 25 is the single dumbest line I've ever heard repeated to me.

I saw an 18 year old raising 3rd child. She could do it. The brain might not be at peak before 25, but it is also never again as good as at 25. The mere fact our inteligence reaches a peak at 1 particular second does not make us useless the entire rest of our lives.

It is just a line used by globohomo to force us to waste 1/3rd of our lives waiting for a stupid arbitrary line.
