It's the little things:
Working in retail is great, because customers LOVE to char and endorse a good job. So, the dopamine hits are always there.

And in testing... oh boy. Do I love the way every day can hit me with a completelly new and unexpected riddle. :blobaww:

@kaia
I don't know. I never had a problem with my job as long as I understood its intrinsic value. I used to sell stuff at parades. It was not a good job, but I knew it made people's day brighter.

I used to sell books in a huge shop. Whenever I helped a customer to find a book, I know I was saving them 10 minutes of suffering, and I might have even found that one perfect gift.

And now, I am testing software. Every bug I find is a headacke many people will never have.

In addition, according to the theory, jobs for ADHD are supposed to be either highly repetitive or high engagement. And you wouldn't guess it 😉, but 90 percent of software testing is highly repetetive, until you find a bug, but it also becomes extremely engaging the moment you have to diagnose it properly. Also,the so called "autistic" attencion to detail is a job requirement, so I cannot think of a better job.

I am so tired of legacy media repeating how damaging the fake news are.

Bitch, I have never seen them report something accurately, so how am I supposed to take them seriously.

I like then games do have their main mechanics made in such a way, that your skill can truly be felt. Dark souls and War thunder does allow for this kind of growth.

Yeah. My problem is purely that although I have seen what government does with their guards, I do NOT want to see what would Google do, if they got the same oportunity.

@urusan I hate to defend the "everyone is special" argument, but when there are 200 different things that one can be exceptional in, and being 1/100 is considered an exception.... it's not that hard be be special.

@xianc78 @matrix
Thanks for an advice, but I don't think that it would solve anything.

@xianc78 @matrix
Let's say it is hard one to evaluate correctly.

Especially considering, how the recent peaceful protestsplayed out...

I am at the point, where I can clearly see the HUGE disadvantages of both options, but don't see an alternative for now.

Actually, yes, there is one more thing.
I hope you never have kids. Since you don't understand the difference between a parent and a paycheck.

Yes. The only way to ensure you can be present to rise, provide for and protect your childern against woman and state is to make sure that woman leaving you is not the better choice for her.
