I was talking about this with my mom recently, and she pretty much co firmed, that this was the issue 30 years ago too.

Her doctor was a huge fan of pseudo medicine like homeopathy. But back then, researching pseudoscience was not as easy as today. That is why I don't blame my parents for drugging me for ADHD. They had no way of knowing better.
