starting the day with an important psa:
psychologists, therapists, psychiatrists, sexologists etc. do not have authority on knowledge period. the way psychology is approached from an outside perspective is inherently disregarding the individuals introspective and therefore unable to sufficiently analyze potential problems within ones psyche. neither the dsm nor the icd are well intentioned and critically revised manuals of disorders that serve to categorize and recommend measures to alleviate the struggles of neurodivergent people and lot's of diagnoses shouldn't exist in the first place. psychology as a field of research hasn't gone through enough reform to accurately reflect people's individual struggles and their causes. if you ever feel like an "expert" is talking utter nonsense about a specific topic I urge you to seek out people directly affected by whatever they're talking about and asking them for their opinions. the age of external and forced psychology is coming to an end and loads of people are no longer agreeing to being systemically discriminated against by people who don't even have our well being as their best interest when trying to help us.
