@BigTony
Yeah, it s truly satisfying for me to FINALLY hear people admit, that sand people are not perfect angels.

@kf01
Obviously...
I hold to it too, unless I am drunk beyond my ability to control. (yesterday, I kinda crossed a line :D)

Never talk about Religion, Abortion, Politics or Economics at work.

And yes, it's an acronym.

Some colleagues wanted to talk to me about the Israel war yesterday.

And I still have to say, that is THE MOST BORING out of literally all political topics out there. You either hate one side disproportionally, or it gets too complicated to make any statements at all. Why the fuck are people fascinated by this conflict at all?

@Terry
Please, when I die or go missing, AT LEAST have the dignity of beating up anyone disrespecting my memory in this way.

@veff @sickburnbro
You're gonna hate the anwser.
It's the internet.

Before it, everyone watched the same goy-news and read the same papers. So, even, when people talked after it, majority of people were already decided, before the conversation even begun.

When's the last time you have watched TV news, or read the government approved newspaper? Instead, literally all schyzos made their own space to share ideas. This gave birth to ideologically crystalized spaces.

@mousewaffen @freepatriot@liberdon.com
Well, Army requires you to believe, that you're risking your life and murdering for a worthy cause, and that you'll be a hero to everyone left.

So, Starship Troopers do serve that purpose. And low IQ soldies won't even notice the rethoric. anyway.

@Rudolf_von_Goldenbaum @freepatriot@liberdon.com
It also serves much better then the fines, when you think about it.

The good old line of "if fine is a punishment, then it's illegal only if you're poor" doesn't apply to the flesh. We are all equal in that way, since we all have just one body.

@LukeAlmighty @freepatriot This solution is better for dumb criminals, but its also better for normal middle class people who happen to get convicted of a crime. If you have a real job and a house, going to prison for just one year can ruin your life. A "normal person" will be vastly better off being flogged in the town square.

@Rudolf_von_Goldenbaum @freepatriot@liberdon.com
Exactly, thank you.
I forgot to mention that fact too.

@freepatriot@liberdon.com
Proson is a retarded solution for a serious problem. It doesn't motivate dumb people, so it doesn't serve its supposed purpuse, while also not providing satisfaction to the victims, and costing a shitton of money.

Execution is also not a solution, because it doesn't solve for smaller crimes, and it also doesn't allow for any mistakes.

There is a solution though, but you need to forget literally all of liberal brainwashing to see why it is moral.
1) It doesn't cost a shit
2) It does allow people to live on, instead of literally stealing away their entire fucking life.
3) It's not as abstract as prison. On the contrary, it is so visceral, that every retard is going to actually understand the full extent of what he's going to be going through. So, it does serve as a motivation. Also, this visceral feeling should serve as much better satisfaction for the victims.
4) It does allow for scaling and apologies.

But.... It is so visceral, that people refuse to consider it. The solution is: Public torture

@grips
This is always a good excuse to get some vietnamese food :D

@LukeAlmighty It helps a lot if you make up your own goals and rules for newer games :D (also with older games, lol it always helps.)

Uhh, obviously this doesn't help much with newer MMOs, and team games. Something like FF14 is designed to prevent deviation in game play. And something like dota2 or overwatch, it is your fellow players that prevent you from finding a fun style to play.

Choosing a lower difficulty while role playing a knight, with perma death, improves almost all games for me xD Suddenly I feel like reading all the text, evaluating the environment. Am I the good guy? Playing slowly and carefully is the most fun for me.

@hazlin
Actually, when I play games these days, I make a point of forcing myself to try adding somr non-optimal gameplay.

To explore, beautify etc. But... It's so fucking hard. :ayaya:

It hadn't occured to me that some of you don't know* how things used to be different in coop or mmo or online team games.

META? No one cared about that.
Wasting time? That was why you were playing the game.
Builds? What ever you feel like.
Learning? Lol, figure it out as you go!

These things only existed inside of try hard raiding communities and tournament settings. Which, were walled away, where no one could see them.

Early mmos, were big, and empty, but if you ran across another player, you would stop and talk to each other. Sometimes you would team up to help each other with what ever was going on.

Parties, and groups and guided formed naturally. And, there was so much respect. I can't even remember a single instance of someone being bullied to "play a more efficient build" or to learn how to do something. If you wiped, you wiped, it was a lot of fun.

Team games were a little different, people would trickle into a room, and you would play with how ever many people showed up, and switch the teams up to try and balance them. If things were imbalanced, it was okay, it was just as much fun, to hold out against a superior force as it was to have a balanced match. Actually, it was more fun to have a challenge.

In both team games and mmos, people would ALWAYS switch to the perceived weaker side.

All that changed with automatic match making, MMR, and pro-streamers guiding "how to play."

The reasons to play have been changed, fun has been re-quantified into "winning", you don't find friends, you insta-queue into a group where no one talks and you'll never see them again. And, people don't even know they are trapped in a toxic nightmare.

@WashedOutGundamPilot
Yes. I agree. You actually saw the same thing recently with hobbyist jetpack project.... Or with drones.... The hobby drones reached the stage of formation lightshows way before they started to be used in the military as a missile replacement.

It's almost as if the modern "industrialized advancement in military" was inferior to backyard scientists to some extent.
