The entire plot of Star Trek Voyager depends on Voyager not having the capability to put a timer on a photon torpedo.

It was said several times, that the station DID have the ability to throw them back to Alpha quadrant, and they didn't use the station, because it needed to be destroyed.... But, a single timed bomb could have solved both problems,

It didn't even need to be a sophisticated timer. A long burn rope would do the trick.

And yes, I did notice, that Switch had a bit of a cameo in the new Zelda games, but it still was a tool there to help immersion, not to become a main focus of the entire game.
