Exactly. Games like Phantom pain or Witcher 3 look more breathtaking, then anything from the modern slop. Not, because we lack technology, but because skill is no longer being selected for.

I did.
All the games I play are 10 years old anyway, so AI is the only thing that uses all of the power.

Games should be made future-proofed, so they look great even in 10 years.

Noone remembers Crysis for running too well, while looking average. People remember it for looking great at low, and discovering new levels of beauty years down the line.
