He's concerned about a possible tsunami that would hit the eastern seaboard of the US. Not fear-mongering, just wanted to make other east coast people aware of the possibility.

I think Twitches stance towards going this hard towards anyone saying "nigger" is a great example of the point of major social media platforms. They're not for socializing as much as they are a digital panopticon, designed to modify your behavior in real time. Hence the policy of banning people for having others shout that word on stream.

It also is one of the things that fuels that "trolling and harassment" they're so angry over. If you just ignore it, you get banned. You have to be active and on edge if you don't want to get banned. Meanwhile that troll is making his 20th account with a Serbian VPN.

Why do women get angry when a man takes them out on a “coffe date” or if he splits the check 50/50 on the first date ?

Short answer: If the guy pays the dinner, she owes her the sex. If the guys knows the girl won’t hook, he has no reason to pay the dinner.

Long answer: For a guy a dinner is an investment , NOT a “giveaway”. The guys is not paying to validate her and make doing that because she “deserves it”. Not at all, what the guy is doing is an investment. As with any investment, the guy wants to a) obtain an appropriate return over investment and b) cut loses. That requires a risk assessment over the investment i.e. the woman in question, if the guy observes that the woman is highly narcissistic ( aka a gold digger )or doesn’t openly states her intentions, the safe assumption is that there won’t be any form of hookup on the first date, which requires to minimize the loses in not paying a fancy dinner for a woman who would send you spinning back home at the end of the day, or splitting the check so she won’t make you spend heavily ( since she won’t order the more expensive thing on the menu ) on a date without a “happy ending”.

Most men will understand what I said, because that’s how our brains work : in terms of cost/benefit analysis. I don’t expect most women to understand what I said, though.
