One thing that is keeping me single is, that I really don't care about sex. I want 3 things. Someone I can love, Someone who would love me, and someone who would help me rise my kids.

It's not unreasonable, you can see aquatic creatures having darker shades to blend in with the dark surroundings. But the issue is, it's kinda hard to argue this for Ariel, when her tail is a bright, iridescent green. I honestly considered this myself. Sun protection isn't by far the only reason why an animal would adopt darker colors. But the camouflage argument drops the second you realize Ariel is as inconspicuous as a peacock.

@LukeAlmighty Back in the days when there was a smoking section on airplanes, I often asked for a seat in the smoking section, even though I rarely smoked, just because I wanted to talk with someone. Smokers are usually happy to talk with you. Non-smokers not so much.
