@NEETzsche In the office where I work, the "diversity committee" put up a bunch of black history month posters and someone commented on Teams that the only black employee in our office is the receptionist to a chorus of claps and laughing emojis. A few hours later, the posters disappeared. 😂
@LukeAlmighty the revolution stops for no one, but i think gamers and weebs generally have a more disagreeable personality than most + are very online and vocal, so we get into clashes with these people or tell them to fuck off more than anyone else. because they're psychos with no hobbies that makes them want to dedicate their life to ruining what we have out of spite

@LukeAlmighty because the vast majority of gamers are straight white males and many of us are not just the normies that let everything slide. We're stubborn. We don't like change to them, when it reality we just don't like negative or useless change.

@LukeAlmighty

I am my cats bed. I guess one could consider that expensive. 😎

@matana.... What? XD

Jerma couldn't type "looney" into a Twitch poll because it said it was an offensive term or something xD

I ain't gonna read this wall of text, but I'll explain you why people are laughing at you.

Linking a paper which uses statistics to defend a political position is like linking to a paper by the Biden administration about how the economy did better under Biden. It's by definition cherry-picking facts to defend an opinion.

I gotta paper for ya:
If you wanna save thousands of people, defund science.
> I wonder what motivation you think governments have

Well of course pharma makes a lot of money, and offers jobs to govt people who grease their palms with public money.

But more than that, bureaucrats like to feel like they're important and that that they're helping. Governments have done a huge amount of damage simply because bureaucrats:
1. Always think there's an emergency
2. Always think intervention is necessary to stave off disaster
3. Always think that they're qualified to intervene

In reality, there's essentially never an actual emergency, and as such, government intervention is almost never necessary and it almost always makes things worse.

But if you believe these things, then you realize that bureaucrats are more or less useless. So as a bureaucrat, you will almost by definition believe the fantasy hero story.
@JSDorn So glad that due to the miracle of the scientific method we can confirm that everything the regime supports is good and everything it opposes is evil.

The moment you realize, that the Nostalgia critic is now a Nostalgia critic
