#BestVidyaGirlContest Post-Tournament Analysis (Nominations)

I kinda decided to set up this tournament on a whim. I’d recently reached my goal of 1000 blocks, and wanted to focus more on fun pop culture posting for a while rather than on harassing trannies and niggers. I did have some big video game writeups planned, but lacked the inspiration to truly get started on those projects. However, once I got the idea for this tournament, I immediately felt plenty inspired, the opportunity to recreate the magic of the GameFAQs Character Battles on a place like Fedi was just too good to pass up. I mean, the VTuber tournament was fun and all, but I really don’t care about 99% of VTubers. Video game girls on the other hand? Now we’re talking! Also, I just LOVE these kinds of tournaments in general, the hype and the close matches, the storylines that emerge and the legends that are created, all in real time and due to the actions of you, the voters. And this time, we’d also be flooded with pictures of cute anime girls in the process!

Of course, the worst part of setting up the tournament was the whole nomination process. I could just have picked a bunch of video game girls I liked and/or assumed would be popular, but that would potentially still end up with plenty of Fedi favorites being snubbed. Better to have the nominees actually represent Fedi’s taste in vidya girls, that way you get way more people actually involved and invested, and create more hype around the tournament. Say what you want about the Touhous or the Fluffy Tail pack, those girls got massive groups of Fedi users involved in the tournament that probably would have been disinterested if the tournament had just consisted of the kind of vidya girls I personally found appealing. So I set up a system where each user could nominate 3 girls, with his top choice getting 3 points, #2 getting 2 points, and the final choice getting one point. The Top 32 girls in terms of points would qualify for the tournament.

Real talk, you niggers made the Nominations about as difficult as possible to sort through – it was as if you ALL nominated different girls, many of which I’d never even heard of, and which I needed to verify if even qualified (the rules were no fatties, no trannies, and no girls that didn’t originate from a video game). It was like you were going out of your way to find the most obscure 3 girls to nominate just to pad out the nomination page, rather than simply nominating your 3 favorite girls and actually helping narrow down the 32 most popular Vidya girls on Fedi.

I kid, I kid. However, more of an actual issue is the fact that a lot, if not most of you didn’t seem to understand the whole top 3 ranking and point system, but with all the replies the thread was getting, I wasn’t exactly in a position to ask people individually about how they’d actually rank their 3 girls listed. There was a single user who specifically stated that his 3 girls were ranked in no particular order, so I assigned each one 2 points each, that’s still 3 girls getting a total of 6 points after all. As for all the others, I just assigned 3 points to the first girl listed, 2 points to the second one, 1 point to the final girl. If that didn’t reflect your actual preferences, sorry, you should have actually read the OP, not my fault you were bamboozled like those nigger voters in Florida during the 2000 election. :smug14:

Really, I fully expected the Nominations to be something of a shitshow, the goal was just to get Fedi to somehow narrow down a list of girls so that a tournament could actually take place. In the end, it came down to 14 girls with more than 3 points, and 47 (!) girls with 3 points each. The top 14 girls were the following:

1: Samus Aran (Metroid): 9 points
1: May/Sapphire (Pokemon): 9 points
3: Pyra (Xenoblade 2): 8 points
3: Alice (Monster Girl Quest): 8 points
5: Reimu (Touhou): 6 points
5: 2B (Nier: Automata): 6 points
7: Ranni the Witch (Elden Ring): 5 points
7: Momiji (Touhou): 5 points
7: Fio Germi (Metal Slug): 5 points
7: Dawn/Platinum (Pokemon): 5 points
7: Seele (Honkai: Star Rail): 5 points
7: Shantae (Shantae series): 5 points
13: Shanoa (Castlevania): 4 points
13: Tamamo (Fate/Extra): 4 points

Predictably, these results often did not reflect the real strength of the characters – Seele was almost certainly the weakest girl of the 32 who made it into the tournament, May wasn’t top 2 material, Alice wasn’t close to top 4 strength and Ranni didn’t boast top 12 strength, while Tamamo was at least top 3 in terms of strength. What’s more surprising is actually that quite a big chunk of this list actually DID end up looking pretty accurate even after tournament had been wrapped up – Pyra, Remu, 2B, Momiji, Fio Germi, Dawn, despite some of their early exits, these girls ALL pretty much ended up displaying a level of strength consistent with their ranking and eventual seeding. And of course, the #1 girl herself, Samus, delivered the goods from start to finish. The fact that Samus managed to emerge as the Top Seed even after THAT chaotic of a nomination process shows just how special she is, and how she seemed destined to come out on top regardless of the format.

Being disgusted with organized religion and the normies who cleave to it is normal, sane, and correct. Of course you’re disgusted by it. It’s disgusting. Priests and other religious authorities being corrupt is the norm throughout history. As you grow, the more you ponder, what we think we understand, where we think we came from, what we we think we’re doing, the more you understand that we’ve been lied to, by every institution. What makes you think that the religious institutions are the only ones that have never been touched?

This exact topic gets discussed in scriptures extensively, and that’s even within the confines of the canonized scriptures that Orthodoxy recognizes. We don’t need to venture into the apocrypha, various Gnostic texts, or Mormon scripture to arrive at this conclusion, although those also discuss this in even more detail. I guess some good bits slipped through the cracks of their ecumenical censors, huh?

So the trap to be wary of in this mess, is that just because idiot normies who go to church out of social convention or because they want to be told that even though they’re broke and resented that jebus still loves them are misguided and often irritating, doesn’t mean that God is fake or that these scriptures are totally lacking in merit. In fact, it’s also scriptural that the Devil, Satan, Lucifer, or whichever name you prefer for the adversary, makes a habit of putting very wicked, very venal people in positions of moral authority… over you. The archons manipulate us all from every angle and hope to convince us to one of many paths to ruin.

@LukeAlmighty It’s real and why some people never come to Christianity. One has to come to Christianity out of love and truth. Otherwise it is like beating oneself over the head with a 2x4. One sees this with American Christians. Some of the most bizarre and laughably evil things I have ever heard irl came from Christians talking about very serious issues, from suffering and evil to the state of israel and stuff. They seem like broken people. Jews seem like more honest people than them, it can make atheism and libtardism seem very attractive to the average person. I accept Christians as part of my tribe, but I have trouble accepting the doctrine and I don’t always ‘feel’ it.
It felt more real as a child. As a Boy Scout, I went to chapel at camp. It was my only experience with Christianity until adulthood, and it was very basic: Wooden benches facing a pulpit in the open air, on a ledge overlooking a cliff. We sang songs, leaders would tell stories with good lessons. I loved it and it was a very happy time. The only time I’ve been happy at church. I don’t see it replicated elsewhere. Instead I see autism. Cold, distant, almost hostile. Like enemy territory. I don’t open up to them. It’s anti-cozy.
It’s almost soulless. It hurts. That is what I would say. I get what you’re saying. Sorry if that is too personal.
@LukeAlmighty the god of abraham is a deeply insecure and mean spirited child with less emotional maturity than the average adult male. there are a lot of good principles in the abrahamic religions but their conception of their god has always repulsed me.

There is one fundamental problem I cannot get over. There are obviously christians, who take christianity through a spiritual lense. And I do understand that kind of a religion.

But... I have been listening to christian apologists ever since I was a child. And I know, that this kind of a god was NOT what they were talking about. Neither the first mover nor the Pascal's vager are connected to the inner beauty of the world. The eternal hell I was promised and get threatened by is not connected to the inner piece this connection can bring.

So, even if I accepted this God, I still could never call myself a christian. Because I know, that it does describe something different, then what I would mean.

And yes, it is a problem, that I simply cannot get over. I feel disgust whenever I hear christian language. I will pray for you is closer to an insult then a greatful act.

Have you ever heard of this problem before? What do you think?

They're trying to suss out if you are a libertarian but they're retarded and do not understand the argument for libertarianism. (I'm not sure I do either but I understand it way better than these retards)

When a person get's depressed, they don't usually tell anyone, but there are signs.
