At the time I just viewed it as a way to troll annoying people, which was primarily feminists and leftoids. I was fairly apolitical at the time, perhaps even mildly left-leaning. I believed in things like race reconciliation efforts at the time. But the more batshit leftist elements always irritated me more than even the wackier elements of rightoid thought, so I naturally drifted to the right gradually.
