How do you tell when your parent's treatment of you had crossed the unforgivable line?
It feels so easy to say, "They were doing their best. This was their one shot at life, and they had to manage"... And I would love to believe it.
So, how hard would it be to actually hug your child from time to time? Would it be so difficult not to push onto me the idea that I'm wasting their money? Or not to threaten me with existencial dread?
Because this makes me take the stand of "this seriously isn't worth forgiveness." But then I feel like the same kind of monster. And that's not fair towards me either. One last fuck you from her abuse I guess.
I will just throw this here.
All of the pointless suffering and destroyed lives aside:
I wonder, just how much of the anti-trans sentiment is self-inflicted. Yes, it is obviousy an objectively horrible bad thing to do. But so is smoking weed, drinking alcohol and doing tattoos. Yet, it is ((mostly)) self inflicted, and would not be affecting others if they just held to the 2-3 really simple rules about not ruining lives of others.
And I laugh thinking, that they could have been fully accepted now, if just they were willing to give up their weirdos.
