@LukeAlmighty Very good point. Neural nets are complex beyond our comprehension. My point was that the AI our sci-fi fantasies predict - basically just a mechanical human - is extremely unrealistic, and not something we're going to be seeing any time soon. They can't replicate humans, and struggle with some simple things humans have no problem with. What they can do, however, is horrifying beyond belief. We dreamed of something simple and beautiful, but what we created was an incomprehensible nightmare
