> > > The people telling you to lock down will still have their jobs after you lose yours.

> > Correct and I haven’t seen one person demanding lockdowns whilst safe in a job, offering to give half of their wages to someone who has lost theirs

> And all expect their groceries to be delivered every week. How do they think that works in “lockdown”

The "lockdown enthusiasts" have absolutely no idea how food gets produced (and delivered to them) nor how they still have electricity, gas and running water (oh and internet, so they can continue to virtue signal on twitter) Turn off their service and see how long they last

@mewmew @amerika @LukeAlmighty Northeast Asia's had a good amount of cultural conservatism without conventional religion. It might not be quite the same as religious conservatism, but there is a certain logic to more conservative social behaviors. Interestingly in the US the social conservative response to Covid has been associated with the political left as opposed to the right. But in many respects Boomers were more liberal than Millennials in practice in their personal habits.

Most people see it backward: we are religious to have culture.

More likely: we have culture, and that includes but is not limited to religion.
