@TarnishedYarmulke the video looks like it's either from India or somewhere in the Mediterranean. If I had to guess Indonesia probably.
@beardalaxy it is 100% a good game. The first time I played it I was lost for like 9 hours non-stop not even realizing how much time I was spending that's when you know it's a good game.
But it's very well is undercooked and needs a lot more baking in the oven.
Though I definitely think they should lean into more of the Terraria side of the game because that's where it seems to excel at.
@beardalaxy I know what you mean they just spawn in randomly constantly for no reason.
I like the idea in Minecraft where enemies spawn based on light level because the player is directly affecting the world but I think enemies just spawn in regardless no matter what you do which is quite annoying.
They don't need to copy Minecraft one for one but some kind of enemy totem or Ward to stop enemies from spawning in a certain areas would very much be appreciated.
Been playing hightail for the first time and after around 15ish hours I have to say if an incredibly fun game however it's best features are things that are radically different compared to Minecraft.
If you're going in and expecting it to be similar to Minecraft you're missing the entire point.
Furthermore it's combat system is very engaging.
However you can tell that this is very much an early access game with a lot of promising features I recommend coming back to it in around a year or 2.
Probably the best part of it is due to how many decorations customizations there are for different material it is very difficult to create a bad looking build. Some may not be as extravagant as another but baseline everyone can make something incredibly beautiful even if you don't have an autistic bone in your body like me.
@Mr_NutterButter It's a funny meme, relax.

@coded_artist couldn't agree more they're trying to stuff AI into everything to try and get people to actually want it but no one still wants it which is even more sad that they've spent so much money on something that is near worthless to most
@coded_artist now this is some revisionist history.
It wasn't nearly as bad as it is now. But it definitely wasn't good it was the beginning of the extreme descent.
Basically anything from 2010 and back is basically Paradise.
really thinking about how's the west and the East share so many similarities but technically there is a Great divide between them and it's primarily through two things.
1. Both China and Europe had a unifying Grand empire of the past which then shattered due to moral corruption however the outcomes of both of them are radically different.
In China just due to geography eventually the dynasties were able to unite again and create another great empire or greater China.
Whereas in Europe when Rome shattered it split into a million pieces and no one was able to ever fully unify such a great empire again in Europe.
These two outcomes create very different civilizational stories and beliefs.
2 China / the east primarily believes that whenever there is moral corruption dynasties were shatter and then they will reform and it's simply a cycle.
Whereas in the West you must go on a great crusade rising from the ashes to build your empire and then struggle against nature itself until your empire eventually falls into decay and ruin, to never rise again.
So while you have your time of Glory you should make your mark on the world.
So in the West idea if they constant struggle against nature and The human condition to establish a final order. And with the introduction of Christianity. It also radically changed this perspective too.
Because if you really think about it China / east is for all intensive purposes basically pagan. Which is also another drastic dividing line between both culturally.
@EscapeVelo it's not going to be as big as a flop as Concord but I'm definitely going to enjoy how it's probably going to have more people playing it then Concord because it is somehow less shit just due to the character designs.
@georgia that makes sense but out of curiosity what makes you believe that it was divinely inspired just in general?
I think the concept of a flag of humanity is gay and stupid but if there had to be one I'm really fond of the idea of a.
Paleolithic Hand Reaching Out.
There's just something raw about the idea of us reaching out for something more than ourselves starting from where we began.
