The people who play souls-like games like the same game but with a slightly different twist every single time.

If you really think about it fromsoft has made the exact same game for 15 years but anytime they minorly change up the formula they call it a completely different name with slightly different aesthetics.

It's kind of hard to oversaturate the market with souls like games because people who like the genre will play them as long as they are minorly difficult from each other and don't feel like a downgrade.

Most of the time souls-like games fail is simply because the animations are dogshit which is a key aspect of the genre or the Lore / world building is super shallow.

Weirdly enough, all the Lore fromsoft makes actually has a lot of substance to it it's just extremely obscure to where other games just make lore obscure but it's super shallow when you actually dig into it and has no real substance.
