Me: Come on, Firefox' market share can't be this low
>quick online search
>it was 2.74 in August 2024
Oh my god... it is. Firefox is dying. Samsung's browser is close to passing it, and that's an Android only thing, and only on Samsung devices. Can't wait for the cope from the open source crowd.
@alyx There's a reason for it. I installed Firefox on my mom's computer and she couldn't log into her email because the site wasn't loading properly.
@redneonglow @alyx @matrix the main things you need to worry about are scammers and pick pockets. everyone will really try to get money out of you in any way possible. just don't talk to anyone or entertain any conversation, focus on the mission.
@matrix I'm sure there's plenty of reasons for it. Me personally, I simply can't use Firefox because I absolutely hate how it renders fonts. I've tried every way imaginable to teak settings, but to me they just feel thick and blurry. With Chromium browsers by contrast, I get thin, crisp sharp lines.

I'm on Vivaldi, and ublock origin still works for now. I'm guessing they'll turn off support for Manifest V2 eventually, but it actually has its own integrated ad blocker too. So I'm sure I'll be fine, whatever might happen.
@alyx@gameliberty.club @matrix@gameliberty.club With Mozilla turning into an advertising company there is not much point anymore, and that probably shows on those numbers.
