As far as I can tell, the only "good" Google products/services are either legacy ones (i.e. Search, Gmail) or bought ones (i.e. YouTube). It doesn't seem like Google has the competent staff required to build something good anymore. And this has been the case for a long time. Which leaves me wondering, what the hell do they do to all the programmers that aspire to one day work over there? Do they get brainwashed the second they go there, or what?

Romania is not that dependent on Russian gas. I was looking earlier today on how much we import from Russia, and we're basically way down in the list of EU countries that take gas from them. And from what I know, we also didn't use nordstream 2, so I don't believe the recent incident bothers us at all. Energy price is increasing, but I don't think it's gonna hit us as hard as Germany.

So the actual issue is potential power blackouts that would effect network cells too (which should have been obvious to anyone with a brain cell though). So the real story continues to be fear of insufficient energy supplies.

Internet is turning me paranoid. I've been watching Civvie 11 videos lately, a guy known for his Pro Postal series. And now I'm getting this in my timeline. What are the chances that Postal, a fringe series I never see anyone talk about, suddenly appears on my fedi timeline when I watch Postal videos on YouTube?

I personally think Disney and similar corporations had more impact on the decision to disable the dislike button, but yeah I'm convinced Youtube was politically influenced into doing this.
