@meeper
Personally I think it's more cause dxvk has had more work put into it over many more years.

@PinochetsCommieCopter
I choose to read it as:
Non-binary erection aides.
It makes it funnier for me.

So we have confirmation that DXVK is much better at translating dx9 to vulkan than whatever translation layer Intel came up with for their ARC GPUs.

I've seen edge cases where it's not instantly clear. Though for older games, evolution by gamer selection does seem to take place.

@Zerglingman @LukeAlmighty
The devs are still around, working on the successor: Assetto Corsa Competizione. But this one has less mod support, and the focus is less on car & track diversity, and more at being an ultimate racing sim for GT3 category.

@MK2boogaloo @Zerglingman @LukeAlmighty
The simple version of his predicament is that there are too many versions, and he doesn't know which one offers all the content. A predicament which doesn't necessarily get eliminated just because you pirate. There could still be multiple game versions there too.

I had a look, and the... nautical approach of getting Forza 4 seems to mainly return Forza 4 Ultimate Edition. Don't know if that helps, but it looks like that's what sea enthusiasts prefer.

@Zerglingman @LukeAlmighty
Unfortunately no. Unless you go the seafaring route. There is a slight downside that the community launcher used for modding was build around assuming Steam, and you need to change a setting for it to work.

@Zerglingman @LukeAlmighty
Then recommend he buys the old Assetto Corsa, and get more modded cars and tracks than he can count. + he gets to play a decent racing sim.
The Ultimate Edition is on sale now for 8€.

@Awoo @Zerglingman @LukeAlmighty
He isn't even accurate in his advertisement though. I'm looking now on Steam, and Din's Curse is on sale. Game and expansion for less than 4€.

@Zerglingman @LukeAlmighty
>guy has issue with game A
>offer him a different game from a completely different genre
Sounds reasonable.

The flight of NASA's Artemis (purple) uses two very close encounters with the moon's gravity (green) to changes its trajectory to get back to the earth (blue.) Amazing.

@thor
The risk of human beings writing something offensive was deemed too great.

@mona
Yeah, the core of Linux is safe solely because Linus didn't retire. That's what's scary to me...

@coffee
Here's the thing though, if the main Linux branch doesn't manage to find someone with principles, a backbone, and the technical competence to replace Linus Torvalds, why the hell should I trust that anyone trying to do a major Linux fork actually has the qualities necessary? If they did, I imagine they would have taken over the leadership of the main branch.
