@matrix I'm not watching the Canadian anymore, but I'm guessing he's late to the party, as usual. Gad Saad has been going around talking about his upcoming book on suicidal empathy for months, and the study he put in the thumbnail has been in the news for weeks. IIRC he had a video on why leftists identify with villains. He'd be better off updating that video, and tying in the empathy angle. Make a full length documentary out of it.

@xyfdi @matrix I mean... I hear some of the crimes he committed come with up to 10 years of prison. And considering he's unlikely to be a good, calm, well behaved prisoner, I don't see him coming out early. 5 years, doesn't sound that implausible.

@LukeAlmighty I don't have a habit of recommending this podcast, but it might provide you with some catharsis: Honey Badger Radio (or Badger Live Streams on YouTube). I don't know of a better group of people that call out women and feminists on their bs.

The way I see it, the "muh graphical fidelity makes it too hard" is a cheap cope out. Games were pushing GPUs to their limits decades ago too. Nothing changed in that respect. But that didn't stop devs from doing things right.

And ultimately you can't claim that you're working for increased graphical fidelity when you put in dithering in your games, that distracts the player, and looks far worse in the game than if you were to reduce model complexity and texture sizes a bit. It's a self contradicting statement.
