European media, and European people, care because it reminds us that the threat of Russia is real.

US media, and Americans, care because:
1) NATO does compel USA to intervene in Europe in case Putin doesn't stop at Ukraine, but more importantly
2) most American families do come from the European continent, some maybe still have ties here, so the sentimental connection of the average American is stronger than to the Middle East for example.
I'm sure though that you'll find random Muslims that absolutely do care about Yemen.

Yup. And honestly it seems to be a very american way of seeing the world. It's really dumbfounding how the woke will proclaim they want diversity, but their entire ideology is very american-centric, including their definition of "diversity". So the idea of diversity is basically corrupted from the start.

So yeah, again, don't do what I always end up doing, don't think too much about it. You're only get a migraine and it's not worth it.
