Hardcore nuzlocke is not the same thing as nuzlocke. This is disingenuous bullshit. You should be ashamed of yourself for trying to deceive people. You're the type of elitist gamer jackass that I hate, and the reason why I refuse to play multiplayer. Go shove a rusty pipe up yours.

@Utility @colonelj @theblessing
>the standard for nuzlockes
Yeah, the standard for people that have been doing this over and over again, for multiple Pokemon generations.
As it is with many such gaming niches, I'd bet the nuzlocke community is mostly comprised of the same people that ended up isolating themselves in an echo chamber, where they keep upping things, because they refuse to play something else, and they've managed to learn literally everything about these games.
And when someone new tries to come around, they'll look down on them for not being on their level immediately, even though they themselves have been doing this for entire Pokemon generations.

It's unreasonable to put this standard on someone who takes up the challenge first time. When every possible online resource on nuzlocke says nothing about no-potions, saying that this is a standard is bullshit. And anyone insisting upon it, is a jackass in my book.

Here's the single biggest problem about burgers that make them "unhealthy": they're too big.
There are simply too many calories packaged in a burger compared to what you're normally supposed to eat for meal. And on top of that, you're expected to get fries with it too. And then if you're 'Murican, everything is gonna be even bigger, cause 'Murica, fuck yeah!

Then he sounds like either he lost his mind, or has been so "black pilled", that he probably could be diagnosed with depression. Which would be ironic.

@Lucidael
I'm usually good at empathizing with people, and understanding where they come from, what their headspace is, what they want to say, and why. I can understand a nazi's train of thought and I can understand a commie's.

I have no idea what he's saying. I feel like I need someone to translate to me.

@theblessing @colonelj
Another source doesn't mention potions at all, but does mention other modifiers you can choose for your nuzlocke.

@theblessing @colonelj
As I suspected, normal nuzlocke allows potions. The no-potions is an optional modifier you can take if you want an extra challenge. (but it's probably not something you should do unless you're already experienced enough with the nuzlocke format).
If you want something extra, I'd go towards randomizers first, before doing something like no-potions.

I was familiar with the whole nuzlocke thing, and watched a few streamers do a 1v1 or 3way challenge, but I haven't heard of the no potions rule. It might not even be one of those things that everyone follows anyway.

@theblessing @colonelj
There's nothing to be ashamed about. You're not some pokemon streamer that does this all the time. I'm guessing you misunderstood the rules or misremembered.

>Timcast: Jeff Bezos is Lex Luthor
Jesus. Christ. He's right.

@LinusTech
Nice to see 'Muricans considering this, but it's kinda irrelevant now. EU already passed this, and I doubt Apple would spend extra $ for a lightning port design in US while also doing a USB-C one for EU. They're gonna unify all their stuff under USB-C.

At some point, everybody deserves it.

Are you really gonna stick with the "I heard it somewhere that it's communism so trust me it's communism" take, with money being your only defense? Cause I've heard a more compelling argument that Star Trek is fascism, that the this low iq take.

re: star trek meta

@icedquinn
Also, they absolutely have money. Federation credits are a thing.

re: star trek meta

@icedquinn
That's not what makes communism though. A lack of private property makes communism, and we know people still have their own property and businesses.
Picard has a vineyard, and Cisco's father having a restaurant are the easiest examples.
