You can have as many dev accounts as you want, I still don't think you could be enough to skew metrics. I'm more concerned about Counter-Strike players that regularly have multiple accounts with just CS to evade bans or smurf. But even those are a drop in the bucket.

I always love when these people insist that there was no Holocaust or any attempt at genociding the Jews, but at the same time they do believe in genociding Jews and see Hitler as their hero for wanting to genocide the Jews. I mean I'm sure Ukraine's constitution says that, but it shouldn't take more than a 8 year old to understand that's bullshit you put in there for the nationalistic propaganda. That's not something you're supposed to take seriously and actually expect to enforce in a war scenario.

@beardalaxy Without being part at the negotiations, it's hard to say whose fault it is. Could be Zelensky, could also be Trump & his administration not managing to get Putin to behave for 5 fricking seconds. As for Putin... whatever is happening, he's most definitely partly to blame too.

So far, Trump's attempt at a peace deal in the Russia-Ukraine conflict has been disappointing. Still hoping it works out in the end, cause no one else tried to do anything to actually stop the war.

I'm not sure they qualify as Ukraine sympathizers. I see them more as NATO/EU apologists. I expect Ukraine/Ukrainian sympathizers to actually care for the people, the individual human beings, first and foremost, and to come to the realizations that living under Russia is still better than dying.
I do sympathize for actual Ukrainians, and if they want to be independent, I think they should be. But right now, this war is lost. You need to know when to pick your battles and when it's time to surrender. God knows my own people struggled for independence and unity under a single flag for well over a millennia. Ukraine could still get this one day, but today ain't it chief.

@j I'd have to look into these accords, and I honestly don't feel like reading some shitty long ass documents... BUT...

The simple way I still know Crimea is better off with Russia is what Ukraine did after Putin annexed it, that being cutting off their water supply. That single act proves to me one thing: the people of Crimea are not Ukrainians, like Zelensky would want you to believe. You do not try to kill your own people when they get conquered, just to try to spite their conqueror. You only do something like that if you don't consider Crimeans your people to begin with. In which case, you have no claim over the land of Crimea.

The question still remains of the validity of the referendum that was held back then, but honestly, if NATO/EU are so adamant that the vote was fraudulent... ok, fair enough, I'm willing to accept that. But then why didn't you campaign to organize a fair vote for the people of Crimea? Why didn't you cooperate with Russia to organize a referendum that both parties could agree with that it was honest and reflected the true will of the people? You were more than happy to do nothing so you could posture later on that the vote was definitely faked. So that makes me distrust you.

As for the rest of Ukraine... without reading the accords, I wouldn't know if they get broken just by discussing joining NATO, or by actually joining (by signing a treaty). As these things usually go, it could probably be interpreted in a million ways, and I'm not particularly convinced that it justifies Russia's invasion. But since my position is that pretty much that every party involved is to blame for this war as it is today (NATO/EU, Zelensky and Putin)... does it really matter that much?

The war still needs to be stopped ASAP, whatever it takes. If it means half of Ukraine goes bye bye, and Zelensky gets put in the slammer, fine by me.

I don't have any particular feelings towards Ukrainians. They were just kinda there as neighbors, but we don't have either a good, or bad relationship with them. They're just there.
But as the current state of the war, I can't help but see that NATO/EU are basically more than happy to sacrifice and genocide the Ukrainian people in a proxy war with Russia, and that I'm not a fan of. I don't think Ukrainians would have been keeping this going like this if the rest of the world wasn't goading them on.

@LukeAlmighty Also, can we stop pretending like games haven't had price increases already? What do you think all the Deluxe Editions and whatnot are? Pretty much every single time, things included in the "premium" editions of games used to be standard features. Or the countless cases of DLCs that got cut out from the game in the final stretch to sell separately. Games haven't been $60 in a loooooong time.

Me neither. Gamers are not strong willed enough to actually protest, in a meaningful way, a massive price increase. So even if every single AAA studio out there follows Rockstar's lead, and increase base price to $100 or more, little will change. People will buy bad overpriced AAA games and feel scammed. But they're already buying bad games and getting scammed, and little has happened to rectify it.

I wonder if the narrative that the industry will crashed came from gamers that are coping that they will have to pay more $$$, cause they know they can't control themselves from buying slop. So they try to fearmonger, hoping the industry will reconsider the price increase.

I'm not fully with him, but he is right about something. If you're trying to get me to be sympathetic to Palestinians who start saying "kill all Jews" from 5 years old, that's not gonna happen. It's not gonna work.
Palestinians started this shit, it will continue until they're completely subjugated. There is no other means of stopping this war. Any civilian that dies is on them, including the children and toddlers, because they choose to hide their troops and weapons among civilians. You don't get to complain about casualties when your side violates the rules of war.
