@matana @beardalaxy @Aldo2 Oh. I got the impression it was a documentary. That's shitty then

@beardalaxy @matana @Aldo2 But that's what I said, do they cause any exploitation or just document it?

I feel like people are getting wires crossed. Is the act of filming it exploitation (somehow), is the acting of viewing it exploitation (somehow), or is the exploitation, you know, having them actually do it in the first place?

You can make the kinda general (and erroneous) CP point that viewing or distributing it causes some harm somehow by some five degrees of harm thinking and therefore it's immoral, but that applies to Nazis or anything too

>Show Nazis being powerful and scary
>OMG you're glorifying them
>OMG I'm jewish and this triggers my PTSD

@beardalaxy @matana @Aldo2 It's much less getting them to do anything and more showing that they are, isnt it? Then it's much much more like arguing that a WW2 documentary is Nazi propaganda because it has Hitler speeches and hakakrossa everywhere

@AmericanChampion further ethical issue concerns potential harm to researchers examining extreme con-
tent. Whether researching such platforms might lead to academics being ‘redpilled’ is
questionable, though should not be dismissed

Academics have acknowledged these con-
cerns themselves. Julia Ebner (2020), for example, describes fearing that she was being
radicalised while researching the ‘Red Pill Women’ online group

@AmericanChampion
This reflects a cyber-utopian notion that the Internet should be a place for the free exchange
of information, free of state interference, an idea long-associated with 4chan (Nagle,
2017; Turner, 2006).

These conceptualisations of the /pol/ ‘self’ are contrasted with us as
‘cuckademics’, portrayed as representing a liberal-left consensus failing to grasp the
platform’s nature and appeal

"cyper-utopian", this was pre 2010 internet, nigger

@beardalaxy Just hang them

And this is assuming it's actual rape and not "rape by legal say-so"

@wowaname @Mr_NutterButter @beardalaxy Everyone in Iceland pirates and I've never heard anyone get anything

My uncle runs a service that's basically netflex but everything is pirated and cheaper and people just recommend eachother the service and nobody cares

@beardalaxy @Mr_NutterButter I guess I assumed blocks from "My isp is a dick head" but it could mean either that or "prone to fuck with me"

@beardalaxy @Mr_NutterButter They generally just send you a warning if anything, and from there you can get a VPN, (I also like Mullvad btw)

I'm more talking about circumventing automated bans/blocks

@Terry Hitting a military base is a war crime
Hitting an airport filled with military planes is a war crime
Hitting an empty field is a war crime

Pentagon: U.S. bombing of Afghanistan hospital not a 'war crime'

@pleb @icedquinn @Moon They can't fix floats, they're literally built into the hardware, and changing type conversions would break existing code without much gain

If you give it wacky inputs like true - true it converts them to ints and does exactly what you ask it, subtracts them. C would actually give you the same result, and other languages would throw an error

It either works or breaks somewhere slightly lower down. Only real argument against it applies to any dynamically typed lang

@Moon Like half of these are just because of IEEE 754, other half are just implicit type conversions giving wacky results because you give them wacky inputs

@matrix @LukeAlmighty Going to Scotland to kidnap a wife just like my great grandpapy

@matrix @Spag It's literally John Lenon Imagine tier "imagine no bad stuff", so of course you end up sucking cock like him

@matrix @Spag I don't know how you wouldn't end up with this when the entire fantasy is LITERALLY "remove hierarchy (inequality) and money and everything is nice and even and everyone shares and there's no crime somehow"
