@ChristiJunior My love for Misty may be toxic nostalgia, but at it's core it's an appreciation for the natural beauty that 90's and 2000's tomboys were so good at. As much as I will 😭 for Blue Archive girls, all of them are specifically crafted, pandering almost, to the point where they get lost among each other. Neru, while quite the bratty gaki, would preform about the same as about any other Blue Archive girl in her spot. The fact that I know Neru's name only because of Pixiv tags rather than the actual game is a testament to the lack of sincerity of her design. The natural beauty of Kasumi ("Misty" for you gaijin) warms the heart thanks to the tasteful classic design sense of Ken Sugimori, which Misty lovers have experienced first hand via the source materials, not via 60 browser tabs on a booru at 4AM. Misty is not just *a* vidya girl, she may be THE vidya girl.
@noyoushutthefuckupdad I do enjoy how much more "inspired" it feels on the NES, especially with the "fantasy but with a futuristic twist" happening like Ultima or Might & Magic... The remakes (I only played Dawn of Souls previously) kind of lose a lot of that charm stylistically. Swole class advancement sprites especially...
@noyoushutthefuckupdad THAT'S RIGHT
And luckily I beat it with only two casualties and immediately left to go claim Excalibur aaa
Hey guys friendly reminder I made a video game. It's an old school JRPG but with a huge world you have to find your way through. Give it a shot, it is completely free.

HUGE WIN FOR FREEDOM I scream as the person who stomps me into the asphalt admits he is stomping me into the asphalt
@William_The_Dragonborn Really hating the current Child Molestation meta, been trying to run an Aggravated Assault and Murder combo deck at my LGS's weekly and went decisively 0-2
Surface-level tech liker and poser weeb. Certified by the Tennou Heika himself to deny Japanese war crimes. Also one day I want to be an artist of some sort, but I'm not sure how to go about it.
