It's finally finished! Months of waiting for parts to arrive, paint to dry, and microplastics being inhaled has brought me the legendary Gawr Guitar!
Based off of Gawr Gura's colors :)
There are a few mistakes here and there because I'm not an artist or a craftsman by any means, but I still had a fun time putting it together and I really like the final result!
daaaaaaamn jmook taking melee's supermajor with sheik, let's fucking go!
got 2nd last year and took 1st this time!
i hadn't heard any of the music from frozen 2 until today and i've gotta' say i'm not super impressed. "into the unknown" is well composed but the vocals in the chorus are a little bit awkward imo. the rest of the music just feels... idk... hollow.
the improvement in the CGI is pretty crazy though. much better fluidity in the animation and more realistic materials despite maintaining the same art style.
i feel like disney's technical prowess has only increased over time, but the soul is heavily diminished. i think that's pretty obvious to most people. their films aren't emotionally moving as they used to be... just becoming kind of vapid.
we will never have another Go The Distance.
i followed kingdom hearts pretty closely up until kingdom hearts 3 went through it's rework from the ground up in unreal 4. by that point, i had been waiting for so long and i was just not interested in playing the game whatsoever. from what my other friend who LOVES kingdom hearts said, it wasn't that great, either. leaves much more questions and doesn't answer practically anything. i never got around to playing dream drop distance either.
but i still can't help it. i fucking love the time i spent with the series. those nights with my friends grinding out the ultima keyblade. the only games i had on my GBA being pokemon emerald and kingdom hearts chain of memories. buying a ps2 specifically so i could play kingdom hearts 2. playing the absolute fuck out of it. buying a psp specifically so i could play birth by sleep and taking it on a week long cabin stay, just absolutely binging it whenever i got the chance.
it'll always be a game series that left an imprint on me. when i've tried to play it again it just doesn't feel the same as it did back then, and that's part of the reason why i don't think i'll ever touch kh3 or kh4 when it comes out. there is a lot of powerful nostalgia there that is just impossible to measure up to.
New #wotc leak about the new D&D Beyond "upgrades."
This is pretty bad. $30/month to play D&D with a virtual character sheet is just not worth it.
