actually though the only reason ash is the main character is because he's what the show focuses on. dude loses battles like half the time. there isn't really much that is special about him that doesn't happen through pure happenstance, he's just the vehicle for showing off the world of pokemon.

i just realized that the favorite button, when you hover over it, says "favourite."

we had the conversation the other day about what anime world we would want to live in if we weren't the main character, just a random person living in that world.

mine's probably pokemon. nothing actually bad ever happens, it's just people training pokemon and battling each other. it's about personal growth and motivation and you've got all these little critters with you along the way. definitely the reason why i chose pokemon. definitely.

@rlier23 this happened to me a while ago. if i'm playing games now it's because they have engaging gameplay that feels really smooth, i don't give a fuck about anything else.

@rlier23 this is why nintendo games are still so fucking great despite how awful they treat fans. they prioritize gameplay over everything else.
