@matana parents being fuck ups does not really excuse their kids being free loaders without any real sense of independence or responsibility. I have a friend that went through med school and for most of that time he did live with his parents so he would have money to actually do that without killing himself. That's something I can respect.
I think kids should separate from their parents as soon as feasibly possible because it helps them become their own person and it gives people a real reason to exist beyond just becoming a blob with no direction in life.
I get that it's hard these days to actually move out because of older generations screwing shit, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try to become independent to the best of your ability.
@matana it's fine to live with your parents if you are really working towards something else that requires a lot of money that would be better used going to that instead of a $1,200 one bedroom apartment just to live.
it's not fine to live with your parents when you are doing nothing but playing video games and taking generals in college.

i sometimes think i'm a big ol' degenerate but at least i pay my own bills, buy my own food, live away from home, positively contribute to society, and have some semblance of integrity and public decency. i still have some friends that live with their parents and go to college doing pretty much nothing with their lives and i'm almost 30. wtf man.
