@Shadowman311 the creep part isn't that they are college freshman, it's that he's hitting up a bunch of them using an official account lmao

If this dude rode in to a music festival on a motorcycle and copped a few baddies it would be a total non issue

@yockeypuck the only problem is that if you do that it makes you gay too

@noyoushutthefuckupdad @ChristiJunior @coolboymew I think I got my PS3 for like $300 in 2009. By then it was totally worth it. Before then I was still on ps2 and Wii. Played that thing until it melted because last of us gave it a run for its money.

There was a game I really wanted to play on PC, Blacklight retribution, but I had a shit pc that could barely play left 4 dead at minimum settings so it wouldn't even launch the game. Funny enough, that game is why I bought a ps4 at launch lol. Once I really got into pc gaming around 2016 though I didn't really touch it much after that.

Here's a small anecdotal window into why everyone my age is "lazy":
Rent is ~$1600 split between three roommates. If one of us flakes or leaves, the other two sink- and yes, it's the cheapest place in town which isn't dangerous. I've looked everywhere else.
I work two jobs because no employer can afford to give workers benefits for working full time. I've had to hop jobs regularly this past year because they repeatedly cut hours or else asked me to come in on short notice which conflicted with my other job and school time. Everyone wants on-call employees but can't or won't pay for it. Also keep in mind all these jobs were found via contacts and networking; I wouldn't even *have* income if I were to try applying online as I would have been filtered by HR bots.
I'm currently in debt for school (STEM) which is the biggest expense I have, but it's my only real shot out of the crab bucket so I persist. I've fought hard to keep a 4.0 GPA which I use to fuel my form of gambling- scholarships- which I write on company time.
I ride share or walk everywhere because I couldn't afford a car, and now I finally have one I can't afford to repair it, so I'm scraping what little earnings I take home to afford that, which means forgoing beef and niceties like most hobbies. Any unexpected costs like a medical emergency would immediately force me to drop out and move back in with family and many don't have that kind of safety net.
"Success/Failure to launch" is now completely up to luck. For those that see it realize it's not worth the effort, choose to never even try, and just NEET off the government and their parents.

@veff @DW2 Didn't realize how good I had it splitting $1000 three ways while driving a boomers 100% functional 98 corolla that he sold to me for $2500. Didn't realize that would be the best it would ever be. Made money off crypto too. Young people literally need better conditions that's all there is to it. No amount of hardwork will make up for it.

@noyoushutthefuckupdad @ChristiJunior @coolboymew that being said I don't think the switch 2 will sell quite as well as the switch did. That's not really super sustainable. They're going to need to make new versions of all their consoles sellers for that to happen. Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, and Smash all need new editions and I don't think adding a bit of extra content to them will work this time.

@noyoushutthefuckupdad @ChristiJunior @coolboymew nobody bought PS3 at first, but then as prices went way down and there were some absolute gems on the console, pretty much everyone I know had one. It was also getting into that ps2 territory where it doubled as a Blu-ray player and HD TVs were finally becoming common place, so people started buying them more then.

Then you have xbox's complete destruction at E3 with the unveiling of the Xbox one, and that pretty much sunk their ship. Lots of console fanboys dedicated themselves to sony at that point. Ps4 does have some good shit on it too, and unlike PS3 it ran multiplats better than the Xbox did.

I think a lot of people carried that hype into ps5, but I also think a lot of people have been pretty disappointed and especially with the ps5 pro being announced you are starting to see waaaay more of that.

If the switch 2 is literally just a better switch, it'll sell like crazy. Despite me really not liking Nintendo, l will still buy it because they make fantastic games. I'm also curious to try keeping it offline as long as I can because you KNOW people are going to be trying their damnest to break it open. If that shit can emulate GameCube games well I'll be all over that.

@xianc78 if the person making the list is on poast that would make sense, it's pretty monolithic

@Sophistifunk@noauthority.social oh damn. i'm really enjoying it.

@furrygirls_bot how to make an appealing character
1: make it a fox
