PayPal really doing a number on cunny artists, sad to see.

@Iffine sounds exactly like early-mid 2000s anime OPs I love it

Definitely a bit of a cold take but it came to mind as 自由への賛歌 came up in my playlist again. I think Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets' Touhou arranges are better than their anime OP stuff. There's something about the tone of Touhou tracks the group hits just right to properly give an active feeling.
So, Maidens' Capriccio. A damn good track with a fanmade PV that is absolutely rad. Definitely one of the standout tracks. Of course the aforementioned Aya collab track with RD-Sounds still remains my favorite overall.

re: as a former mormon...

@Hephaestic @SuperSnekFriend it's pretty crazy man, as I started to grow brain cells it became increasingly obvious to me how jacked it was and it caused a lot of internal dissonance

@Gatitasecsii it does kind of have that same vibe as those old open world motocross games actually, yeah. I hadn't thought about that. I used to love just driving wherever tf in those back in the day.

@Aeolus oh wow I haven't thought about space ace in forever

@Leyonhjelm @SuperSnekFriend @sun I don't believe Jesus will leave the celestial kingdom, that's kind of the whole incentive to get there. I could be misremembering something though, it's been over a decade since I went to church last. People can go down to the lower kingdoms if they want to visit though, I know that.

Hitler has baptisms done for him all the time, actually. Names get cycled through for those "x for the dead" things and the explanation is that the people they are doing temple work for just haven't chosen to receive the good word yet, more or less. Theoretically, if Hitler did choose to receive it, he could go to the celestial kingdom.

as a former mormon...

@SuperSnekFriend i think the workaround for this is sealings for the dead, because if you die and you haven't had that done you will basically be in something akin to purgatory where people from "heaven" prepare you to receive the ordinances that the people on earth do for you.

in addition to this, you may have heard that there are 3 kingdoms of heaven that acts as "tiers." telestial, terrestrial, and celestial. telestial is basically hell but it's not eternal punishment and all that shit, it's more or less just a worse version of the world we live in right now. terrestrial is kind of just the world we live in right now. celestial is more akin to the traditional idea of heaven, however what is less known is that there are also three tiers of the celestial kingdom. to be in the first one, you must be baptized in the mormon church. second, you must have gone through the temple and received your endowments. third, you must be married and sealed in the temple.

the only people going to hell (called "outer darkness") are the ones who had undeniable proof of God and still chose to go against Him. a notable example of this is Cain. the people who were good but never received any of the ordinances will end up in the terrestrial kingdom, and the ones who were bad and never received the ordinances will end up in the telestial kingdom. that's how it is in a nutshell.

as always, a lot of this stuff is solely to wield power over people and strike fear into them. there is a song called "families can be together forever" that children learn from a very young age that insinuates that the only way they'll be with their family in the afterlife is if they follow the Lord, which in the context of mormonism is of course their own teachings. this has resulted in my family, especially extended family, breaking down on numerous occasions because they don't think i will be with them in the afterlife. it's pretty sad to see, and this is how they get you. soul snatchers.

nevermind all of the "ordinances" performed in the temple are either inspired by or ripped directly from freemasonry.

@get nah i believe it 100%, nintendo put so much stock out that the console wasn't even really scalped. they had a really good stockpile this time. the wii had some pretty bad supply issues iirc. we couldn't get one for like a year.
