@InvincibleSugar I'd assume most teens getting tablets these days would be doing it for art, since their phone will be able to do pretty much everything else. I've seen a lot of teenagers at coffee shops and stuff using tablets for that. So if you're trying to donate tablets maybe stay away from ones that have really bad tracking or whatever.
If you're donating them for younger kids, they'll probably use it to play games and watch shows. So if it can like, play fortnite or whatever it'll be good.
@FlatCulture even when you are self employed, you still sometimes have to do what other people want you to do instead of what you want to do.

Y'all know kids, maybe. Okay maybe some of you, should never meet a kid... but I think most of you are not that flavor of freaky...

Misskey has been fucking with the compression stuff on the newest release and it was converting all my stuff to Webp, which is sometimes not supported on Mastodon instances. I have been complaining about the Webp shit for ages and managed to mitigate it in old releases but it was changed completely.
I found the new code in misskey/packages/frontend/src/composables/use-uploader.ts
I changed everything to compress to JPEG. PNGs will also be converted so be mindful of that; in old releases, compression never worked for PNGs, so I just upload those as is if transparency is needed.
