@broknee man i've been pronouncing your name "brock nee" this whole time...

Here's what it currently looks like! I would let you guys mess around with it right now but unfortunately, saves aren't saved between versions at the moment. I'd hate for you guys to lose progress just for updating.

As you can see, the Android UI is also currently visible with no way to remove it. I'm kind of relying on the person who made the program to build an android version to fix these things, and I'm hoping they do!

Since touch input doesn't work everywhere, I've added these overlay buttons. You can turn them off with the C button, but that one will always stay there. As of right now, that's the best place for it. There's also a bit of a bug with it not letting you hide the controls during messages, so I submitted a report to the creator of this plug-in too.

There are definitely some issues here lol, but hopefully they can be smoothed out so we can get some legitimate testing in! I want to see if the game can be completed from beginning to end on my phone, that would be awesome.

While I'm waiting for updates on those, I'll probably start looking into an embedded web version to put on Newgrounds next.

@zonk they're based on html and js because the entire steam client is just a chromium wrapper

I'll fix some of the glaring issues with God's Disdain for the android port and then just drop an apk here if any of you guys want to test it out to see if there are any other weird quirks. It'll be like super early alpha so it will be using the default touch controls and everything. I'll need to add some buttons to menus and I'll still need to resize everything to fit the screen better, but it'll be more of a proof of concept.

@bruh_momento it's definitely harder in the early game before you get too many upgrades. Reminds me a lot more of classic castlevania but you can move while you're jumping xD

@get I didn't vote for trump because I know he wouldn't do this

Using proprietary "AI" tools is one thing.

But allowing them run shell commands on your system without explicit manual approval for each command is a whole different can of worms.

first snow of the season today! and it's apparently going to keep snowing until around 10pm. wild! uhhhh my new scooter hasn't come in yet so hopefully i don't die lmao.

too big for the app store unless i do some fuckery which i'm not going to do. it'd be itch exclusive.

it'll also be compromised in some other ways, such as a lower resolution and lack of some effects like the colorblind filter and glitching while using a certain item. for now though, it seems like pretty much everything else just works :todd:

as far as a web version goes, itch.io only allows for games up to 1000 files to be embedded. even deleting all of the voice acting in the game wouldn't bring it down to that level, but it would get it close so perhaps support could work with me on that.

newgrounds, on the other hand, doesn't seem to have a file limit. just a size limit, being 3GB which is more than i'd ever need. that might be something i look into because it would be really great for people to be able to play my game with something like a chromebook, which is the only thing a lot of my friends have as far as computers go.
