The unfortunately named Paris Buttfield-Addison bought a $500 Apple gift card at a major Australian brick-and-mortar outlet.

Turns out the card had already been redeemed, and when he tried to redeem it, it was rejected.

The outlet agreed to provide a replacement gift card, so all was well.

Then Apple terminated his account and bricked all of his devices.

>My Apple ID, which I have held for around 25 years (it was originally a username, before they had to be email addresses; it's from the iTools era), has been permanently disabled. This isn't just an email address; it is my core digital identity. It holds terabytes of family photos, my entire message history, and is the key to syncing my work across the ecosystem.

>I effectively have over $30,000 worth of previously-active "bricked" hardware. My iPhone, iPad, Watch, and Macs cannot sync, update, or function properly. I have lost access to thousands of dollars in purchased software and media.

You might be thinking at this point that this guy is an idiot for giving a single company complete control over his personal and work life in this way.

You would be correct.

I must be from Poland. I use xD all the time. Like, ALL THE TIME. I use xD so much that my main emoji react is this guy 😆 solely because he looks like he's going xD I never stopped using it. I love it too much xD

@volki@fe.disroot.org American history is self deprecating, we learn from a young age how evil we are, how we slaughter millions of tobacco smoking hippies and gave them small pox for their land, then raped Mexico and took their land too, then enslaved blacks to be whipped and beaten daily.

When reality is far from any of that, we get told how amazing everywhere else is because they never had slavery apparently

Using AI vocals in music is pretty much the exact same thing as using a Vocaloid/UTAU. "But AI doesn't take any work!" It takes work to make it sound good, just like a vocaloid.

@vitalis and her skin... Oh... A frozen glacier, soft and silky as the clouds, like white Gatorade...

Her eyes were a striking blue, like blue Gatorade, and her cheeks were flushed, like red Gatorade. Her demeanor was mysterious, yet refreshing, like yellow Gatorade. And her dress was the hue of orange Gatorade.

@parker @mischievoustomato @f0x when we get everything done at the store, if we are even sitting around for 5 minutes the bitch who watches the cameras will get on our asses about it. there have been times we literally will move something to one place and then move it right back to make it look like we're doing something.

I used to thank anyone wearing a military uniform but I don't anymore. Vets too. Like the old dudes wearing Vietnam Vet hats trying to make that their whole personality or some shit. You want a fucking cookie? You want a fucking cookie for going to a foreign country doing shit we had no business getting into, seeing all of the friends you made in basic get slaughtered, and getting cancer from the government spraying agent orange on you? Congrats, here's your fucking cookie grandpa.

Most people these days who go into the military either A) have no idea what they want to do with their lives or B) think it is an easy launch pad to their dream career. They aren't defending shit, they aren't protecting shit, at most they're doing gay ops for other countries and at the least they check in to a base every now and then to work out and get free schooling on the side. They have lent their souls to the government with the hope that they won't be deployed into an actual warzone.

Military members getting a random $1776 check is fucking retarded. Like... good job for sitting around in a foreign country working out and getting paid for it, here's a little bit of extra money so that you aren't as pissed when you get mobilized for Israel.

If we're going to send that money to anyone it should go to like ICE or something, but the idea that we have to pay extra to people people with public funds who are already being paid with public funds is retarded beyond the positions even existing in the first place.

Does anyone have any sort of good defense for this? It feels like it's a psychological thing to give to government drones for being good boys.

Got that display cabinet set up! It took a long time lol. Sorry for the weird angle but it's super reflective.
There are some smudges I need to get out but otherwise I love it!
Now I just need to fill it with more stuff. More is on the way! I think four or five figures and four plushes over the course of the next six months or so. Lot of Miku and fumos coming haha.
