@WhiteDissidentRadio i don't get how this happened exactly. the government allotted land to her family? wouldn't it still be the government's land then?

@alyx @nosleep @pasture i know hulu originally had a free version that served ads, and you could pay to have them removed. idk about netflix, i haven't used it since like 2016.

that would still be different, though. imagine if netflix was free and served ads to pay for the service, and you could pay $8/month to get 2 ads during a movie instead of 4, or you could pay $12/month to get no ads at all. i don't think anyone would go for the cheaper option.

another example would be if YouTube Premium just gave you less ads, rather than no ads at all.

on one hand i think it's funny that twitter users are getting extorted but on the other hand, is elon actually trying to tank twitter on purpose....?

@BlinkRape "we beat people who were hacking the systems!" is a pretty interesting take though.

@BlinkRape it's a victory because they didn't completely lose. they stopped the red wave which was their whole goal, "to protect democracy"

@JohnGritt i believe some people need rulers, otherwise they will collapse in on themselves while attempting to bring down everyone else with them

@nosleep @pasture i don't know of any other service where you pay to get HALF the ads lmao
