>EU aid to Ukraine has lost its common sense - now the confiscated cars of Latvian residents will be given to the Armed Forces of Ukraine
>The Latvian Seimas approved amendments to the law on support for the civilian population in Ukraine. The head of the Latvian Ministry of Finance, Arvils Asheradens, made a proposal to seize cars from drivers who were driving in a state of intoxication and transfer them to the needs of the Ukrainian army. Each confiscated car will be decided by the government, and will be transferred through an organization cooperating with the government of Ukraine.

Having fun on Twitter unpicking a curious thing that happened to me this morning. Someone reached me on Signal thinking I was ChatGPT. Turned out it had given them my number.

the genius of the gamecube controller.

look at the angle of the gate. it is slightly rotated to the left to give a much more natural feel. a lot of 3rd party controllers unfortunately miss this.

When you try to make a 2D platformer fighter, you have to REALLY know what you're doing. Time and time again these things fail, even if they have new mechanics, because they forget about one thing or another, or their movement isn't as smooth, or the balance is totally messed up, or like what may be the case here, their payment model is just bad and unsustainable.
I think MultiVersus has a kind of cool idea, but it's horrible for 1v1 (being that it was built for 2v2) and I find the UI pretty messy, which is what is typical for one of these live service games. The movement and flow of the game is also nothing like Smash so it's hard to get into it for me personally. It doesn't feel anywhere near as polished, and the Nick All Stars game had that issue and died pretty quickly too. With Smash being such a monolith, you have to give people a reason to play your game over Smash, and if the reason isn't there or isn't good enough, good luck.

@keisuke yeah and there are so many fucking settings it gets pretty overwhelming. Shit like analog response curves.

It seems that it's the custom nowadays to be lazy about organizing stuff on settings pages and just offer a search feature.
