TBF you should, as a functional white man, have that circuitry. You gotta be able to grab the hatchet and put a creature down with nothing more than your lips pursed and a “well, someone’s gotta do it” attitude.

Our insulation from death and killing is one of those things we think is the norm, but it actually isn’t. All through our history you’d raise something and have to slit its throat to live through the winter. You learned that some creatures are ‘yours’ and others are not.

This detachment from slaughter bolsters the kiked humanitarian norms, where “everyone’s human!” because we’re estranged from death itself. If you grow up raising and killing your own meat, you realize you don’t have the heart to get teary-eyed at outsiders dying, you reserve those tender feelings for the deserving - your family, your people, your tribe, etc.

@annejefferson My Dad and his brother grew up in Ipswich, Massachusetts in the early 20th century. Dad had a few photos of cutting ice from lakes to store in ice houses for summer use. Our family would spend Christmas in Ipswich on occasion. Cousins had a farm pond we would skate on. Photo is of Niagara Falls in early January about 1960.
